EA has popped out another FIFA 15 patch which adds new Major League Soccer sides New York City FC and Orlando City to the game. Neither of them are in the MLS list though; you need to go to the ‘Rest of the World’ section to play as these teams.
That means you won’t be able to do ‘Career’ mode as New York City FC or Orlando City (not until FIFA 16, at least) but will be able to play FIFA 15 Kick-Off matches and Online matches with them.
The update is already out on PC, because I’ve played a friendly game with the new teams (and took that image above.) As well as adding the new teams, EA says the patch will improve stability in certain areas of the game.
There are also a couple of other fixes, like “Names of scouted players in Career Mode are now more reflective of their country of origin†and “Addressed issue where some players were not able to unlock certain boot packs for their Virtual Pro.†You can read the full set of patch notes in this post.
In addition to this patch, the FIFA 15 twitter account says that there will be some Ultimate Team server maintenance today starting at 6.30pm UK time and lasting for around three hours. The transfer market is currently closed as well, to “prepare for an important change.â€
They don’t seem to be saying what that change is yet. Update: Now they have – it’s transfer price caps.
