A new user-made world deserves to be right up there with some of the best ever made in the open-ended sandboxgame. A team of 25 builders spent close to one year re-creating The Shire from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings franchise, and the results are stunning.
, The Shire worldmap is at a 1:58 scale. It is “arguably one of the most detailed and well-researched maps ever made in the game,” reads a line from the description. We would agree.

“As well as researching old farming techniques, we make sure that we adhere to geological and botanical realism in our terrain,” the builders explained. “As one of our admins is a professional geologist, we are able to put a great deal of expertise into it.”
