Thebesplayers : Destiny's Latest Iron Banner Weapon and Armor Rewards Detailed

has revealed this week’s update, which includes new rewards for the Iron Banner PVP event, the launch of a new Twitch show, and an update on when the rewards from the Valentine’s Day event will be sent out.

Iron Banner will return on February 23 and feature Clash as the game mode. The new items displayed in the above gallery can be attained from Lord Saladin through the following ranks:

  • Rank 3: Gauntlets, PlayStation Gauntlets
  • Rank 4: Helmet, PlayStation Helmet, Sniper Rifle
  • Rank 5: Rocket Launcher

Post-game drops are obtainable in the following ranks:

  • Rank 2: Gauntlets, PlayStation Gauntlets
  • Rank 3: Helmet, Sniper Rifle
  • Rank 4: Rocket Launcher

The update mentions the possible deployment of a fix for matchmaking which sees priority given to connection quality over skill level. However, this is not confirmed. Players who took part in the Crimson Days Valentine’s Day event can expect the Crimson Days Ghost reward to arrive on February 23. One Chocolate or Crimson Ghost per account will be delivered to the Postmaster. Players expecting to receive the items are advised to make sure their Postmaster has space to avoid the loss of items already in it.

Bungie also announced work on a space for dedicated Twitch live-streams, which will be used for game reveals, “casual hangouts”, and a look behind the scenes of Destiny’s development process. The streams are scheduled to kick off in March.
