Blizzard showed up in full force in support of their upcoming FPS, Overwatch, by partnering with Uber to provide Overwatch-themed cars complete with cosplaying drivers.
As with all gaming festivals, PAX East had its fair share of cosplayers. The resourceful costume makers showed up from far and wide to show off their impressive skills and life-like outfits. Â
The headline Overwatch event of the weekend was a show match between Penny Arcade founders Jerry “Tycho” Holkins and Mike “Gabe” Krahulik. The two duked it out on teams of 6 in a best of 3 to decide who would win the coveted watch from their long running webcomic series.Â
Gabe won in a close 3 game series, the results of which can be found here.
Overall it was an eventful weekend in Boston for Overwatch fans and although the closed beta has come to an end we are very excited to see what the future holds for Blizzards first foray into the FPS genre.Â
